I have been really enjoying shooting for Darling Magazine and absolutely loved working on this shoot for their Spring Issue. Special thanks to Rachel Burney (Remba Productions | Lifestyle | Commercial), Samantha Santana (Primary Petals Floral Design & Event Styling Studio), FLANNEL (www.flannel.com.au) & Jen Welsch! It was an honor to work with such a talented and beautiful group of women. Check out Darling Magazine to see it in print!
I’ve just spent the last ten days in the beautiful country of Ireland and have been blown away by the beauty and magic of the place. I am now going through hundreds of pictures trying to visually recreate what I saw and felt there.
Above images shot in Hawaii, Maine, L.A, Seattle and Santa Rosa.
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to travel to some amazing places these last few years thanks to people getting married. There’s something about leaving where you live and spending time in a different area that is so refreshing to the soul. I mean, it definitely doesn’t hurt when those places have breath-taking scenery. I love L.A. and there is some wonderful things about and going on in this city, but sometimes I just have to get out and go to nature. The mountains, the beach, a field, anything. All that being said, I am going to be spending a chuck of time this winter in the countrysides of England, Ireland and Scotland and I can hardly wait. From there, I will be heading to Tulum, Mexico to photograph a wedding there and I am so exited and so thankful for these opportunities. I cannot wait to enjoy, be in and then photograph these beautiful countries.
I recently got to photograph my friend and fellow artist, Amanda Evans, at her home in Manhattan Beach. To see the whole post go here: emily blake blog!
My big sister got married this last weekend and it was quite a day. It’s interesting (to say the least) to go from shooting weddings, to being the maid of honor in one. It really gave me a refreshing perspective of how special this day is and how much fun it is to celebrate with your family. The above pictures were taken a few days before the wedding while I was hanging out with Kate and Aaron and their dog Luna (who was the flower girl in the wedding…of course) in northern california where our parents live. I later stumbled upon the picture of Kate and I when we were kids and couldn’t help but nostalgically post these pictures together.
Congratulations guys, love you.
